I have had a Helium IOT in a waterproof box (from Home Depot) mounted outside for a couple of years in Florida. It has been working for years now and earning tokens. I recently bought an indoor Helium Mobile hotspot. I was wondering if I possible to simply put the indoor Mobile hotspot in a waterproof box and mount it outside?

WARNING! - I bought the indoor wifi hotspot and set it up on my Galaxy A52 5G phone. It worked fine for about a month. Then it stopped working. I tried switching to a Galaxy S21+ phone and it still wouldn't work. So-called helium support could not figure out how to transfer the certificate from the first phone to the second phone, so now I have an indoor wifi hotspot that is nothing but a paper weight. DO NOT BUY THESE PRODUCTS IF YOU EXPECT THEM TO WORK FOR MORE THAN A MONTH OR TO BE TRANSFERRABLE TO ANOTHER PHONE.

so i have some questions, first I was an early adopter of helium and sadly lost my wallet I've given up trying to get that back but my bobcat miners are still connected to that old wallet am I able to swap and make a brand-new wallet and connect the miners to that one? also is it as good as it was before mining HNT? I have 2 bobcat miners and have been sitting ever since I got locked out of my old wallet, the app did an update before I was able to save my phase not a massive lose only 20HNT. last question is there any other crypto I can use my bobcat miners to mine? I used to do axies/ SLP and that was awesome but I stopped doing crypto after I lost my HNT and want to use the bobcats for something useful. any recommendations please?!?!?!

I've been testing an Invoxia GPS vehicle theft tracker, and I don't think it works at all. It doesn't use cellular, it uses the Helium IOT network, which just does not exist anywhere. If you have your smart phone on and carrying it with you while you drive, you will be fooled and you will think it's working... because it's connecting to your phone in your pocketvia bluetooth, and uploading the data points to the app and up to the cloud. But if your vehicle is stolen, your smart phone is going to be nowhere near around and totally out of bluetooth range. To test and confirm I'm not talking shlt, switch off your phone and drive around for a day, and you will find, it sends no GPS location data points up to the network and to the app at all.... because the the Helium IOT network cratered and does not exist anywhere, despite their coverage map. It looks to me like Helium is doing everything wrong, and Hivemapper is doing everything right. If they made one super cheap single outdoor device that did all three... IOT, 5g mobile, and Hotspot... and could be upgraded in the future to support more functions... then maybe they would have something... otherwise, they are like total bust at this point. If they failed at building their first network, and instead of fixing it, abandon it, I'm not likely to take a chance on buying equipment for their 2nd and 3rd failed attempts going off on some other tangents.

i saw exacly what you say with Heliium mining last bull cycle. The early adopters and RUclips influensers who got in early. Earned a lot and when the "normal" guy finally gets hold of one its just pennies to be earned. Or you can barely get ROI, or even go minus.

Good point. That is why these are not sustainable projects. Look up World Mobile. They are an actual licenced MNO company. AirNodes (antennas) are paid in fia currency. They get x% of the income the antenna generate. No inflated token system, sustainable structure. Y% of total income is used to buy back tokens from open market which than used to reward earthnode (blockchain part) operators and their stakers. Did my dd, not moonboy talk. Spend a few days researching them. (No, they are not building on Cardano, details of multichain infra will be shared this month)

I have dozen plus light spots, two indoor 5G, helium hotspots, two outdoor 5G, helium hotspot, 2 Solana Sagas & 3 iPhones with the live mapper and dynamic coverage enabled. *I can say for a fact that my 5G indoor hotspots are killing my 5G outdoor hotspot up on the roof!* estimates: average PER phone using live mapping = 900 $MOBILE, 5g outdoor hotspots average about 2,040 $MOBILE *each,* and my indoor 5G hotspot approx daily rewards = 5,470 $MOBILE tokens *each.* plus an estimated 25,000 $IOT from all my light spots that I don’t really keep track of. moral of the story… save your money and get 2 indoor 5g hotspots instead of wasting money on one outdoor.

I'm not upgrading to bee. Sticking with original dashcam as I believe it will ship in April. I am worried the manual upload will become a chore but willing to put a schedule it and test it out. Maybe they will release a software patch later to make it automatic 🤷🏽. Waiting to hear from guys who have already got theirs.. What are the rewards like?

I took my Invoxia on it's first test ride, where I stopped at a Burger King and ate lunch, and then stopped at a Walmart to buy groceries. When I checked the Invoxia route map when I got home, there was no way telling from the plotted lines that I had been at either the Burger King or the Walmart. And I had the update frequency set to High.
